Martha was not just doing things and Mary was not just listen to Jesus without helping Martha. God gave me a thought that Martha represents who do work hard to be holy and to know God. But like you know, out holiness can't reach to God, we can't be perfect. In other side,Mary represent who know how weak she is, how much broken heart she got, so only thing she can be close to God is to sit before him and get his grace.
Luke4:40-42
40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.
41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:
42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
If you my name instead of Martha, it's totally make sent sentence.. My one of the new years resolution is to be a Mary instead of Martha. I am so thankful that God already gave me the key to how. Thank you Lord.. Thank you Lord..
